The first draft of the latest Mercedes Drew story - Flowers Has a Good Day - has been completed. Barnaby will now spend the next few days editing, enhancing and error checking until it is honed to perfection. Well, honed anyway. He anticipates publishing the next volume of three complete Mercedes Drew stories sometime in February, as soon as he can write up the next case for Detective Inspector Desmond Flowers to solve.
Meanwhile, the weather is mild, the New Year Resolutions as yet unbroken and the weight under control. In other words, an excellent beginning to twenty thirteen, as we are now to call it.
